Ostrich leather is very strong. It is said to be 2.5 times as robust as cow leather.
Ostrich hide is available in three distinctive grain patterns:
1. Quill, a stippled pattern with small circular marks in the hide where feather quills were.
2. Striated, a crisscrossed linear pattern from sections of hide without feathers.
3. Leg, can only be described as snake skin in appearance.
Ostrich is wonderfully durable and abrasion resistant hide.You must treat your Ostrich Saddle with our Leather Care Kit to keep it looking great and this exclusive saddle is available in good stores for 349 €.

Leather Care Set:
Selle An-Atomica proprietary Second Skin Watershed™ leather does not require any leather treatment products. Simply wipe it clean when dirty. This Kit is for use on the Limited Edition Ostrich saddle.
For all non-waterproof saddles: If you ride in the rain please use leather treatment products - "Saddle Care Kit." The acids and salts in sweat coupled to any sort of rain washes the natural oils out of the leather by degrees.
We've tested and reviewed ingredients in many of the home products and DO NOT recommend any products not offered with our saddles. There are ingredients in most products you might consider using that will degrade the bridle leather. We are not responsible if you damage or degrade your saddle with any treatment other than those we recommend.
