Selle An-Atomica saddles are handmade in Wisconsin, USA. Tom Milton, the third generation of a auto racing family, has been working on the development and manufacturing of this saddle for over 6 years. One of his favourite sayings is "We never set out to make a leather saddle!", meaning that the use of leather came after a lot of research into what makes a good saddle for long-distance cycling. All the research, with doctors and cycling experts, led to the unisex design and shape. It works for men and women and it works in a road biking scenario just as good as on a mountain bike or urban bike.

What makes Selle An-Atomica different?
1. Waterproof maintenance free leather - Standard leather saddle are formed with cold water, this makes them unprotected in the rain, even if you do take that pretty shower-cap with you. The complicated tanning process waterproofs the leather and lets you concentrate more about riding than worrying about the weather.
2. Comfort - Bike riding should not hurt. Tom Milton is an active long-distance bike rider. He tested his prototypes in the worst conditions possible. Example: The last Paris-Brest-Paris long-distance, non-stop race over 1200km where it rained for 5 days. Tom Milton rides Paris-Brest-Paris with a Selle An-Atomica saddle :
Tom Milton started the race with a new "out of the box" saddle. He rode Paris-Brest-Paris in 89 hours and thats 1200 kilometersis. He finished with "no saddle pain". The organisers of the Paris-Brest-Paris were quoted as saying that this years event was one of the "hardest in the last 50 years". It rained every day and all day, it was cold and very windy. Nothing to bother a great rider on a great saddle. Tom has some buttons to give away to anyone that rode the Paris-Brest-Paris, just send us an eMAil and we will send you one.
